We’ll need your PD to make your prescription lenses. Ask your optician for a "binocular PD" to ensure you get two measurements, one for each eye. Please do not measure your PD yourself. You can provide it in one of these ways:
- Your PD may be written on your prescription.
- Your eye doctor's office, or the business where you purchased eyeglasses in the past, may have your PD on file. You can request it from them, either during or after your visit, and provide it with your prescription. It is a separate piece of information from your Rx, and it is required in order to make your lenses, so you must request your PD explicitly.
These figures are always written in "Right, Left" order. For example, if the distance from your right eye to the center of your nose is 31 millimeters, and the distance for your left eye is 29 millimeters, then your binocular PD will be written "31,29" or "31/29." Enter "Right, Left" format here.

The pupil height is the vertical distance from the middle of your pupil to the bottom of the lens. This measurement is important to ensure accurate positioning of the focal point of your lenses. It is specific to the frame.
We recommend having a friend measure your pupil height for you, or a mirror will work too. Here’s how:
- Put on the frame, making sure it sits straight and comfortably on your face.
- Position yourself about arms’-length away from your friend in good light. Your eyes should be at the same height as your friend’s eyes.
- Position your face perpendicular to the floor with your eyes looking straight ahead. Your head's position should feel natural, not tilted or extended – as if you were driving.
- With a felt-tip marker, have your friend dot each lens in the middle of your pupil. If you have more than one color pen, you may dot the lenses once in each color, to ensure an accurate measurement.
- Return the marked glasses to On Your Face Glasses. We will measure your pupil height based on your dots.
